About

The focus of my inspiration comes from three sources: human isolation, African based religions in the Americas, and oppressed culture in colonization. The development / evolution of fashion and style in each source of inspiration comprise the world in which my designs come to life.

I was born in a small town in Indiana in 1970. At the age of 7 my family moved to Florida, and at the age of 10, we moved to Texas. I frequently visit Hawai’i and find the islands a rich source of inspiration, both artistically and spiritually.

Additional sources of Inspiration include The Witching Hour (1989 novel by Anne Rice), Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (1962 film), Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte (1964 film), Back to the Beach (1987 film), Psycho Beach Party (2000 film), and Die, Mommie, Die! (2003 film). Music is extremely important to my creativity as well – Stevie Nicks, Amy Winehouse, Cyndi Lauper, The B-52s, No Doubt, and Sublime.

I create women’s fashion, design textiles, mixed media illustration, and sculpture. Contact me if you feel my aesthetic and style would be a good match for your needs. Serious inquiries only.
